Mike Radke was born in 1910 and educated in Poland. He immigrated to Canada before World War II. He joined the Canadian Army during the war, then moved to Trail, BC where he married and started to raise a family.
Unsatisfied with the environmental conditions at that time, he moved to Tangent to settle on the Lassiter Project in 1952. He farmed his homestead and raised four boys.
He retired to Cardston, Alberta in 1975 where he spent many years a librarian for the Mormon Church before his death on September 18, 1984.
