Clarence Milton Peterson was born in Goodrich, North Dakota, USA. He came to Sexsmith when he was just a baby. He spent his childhood on the farm northeast of Sexsmith.
In 1942, Clarence joined the Calgary Highlanders and served in Canada and Overseas before being honorably discharged in 1946.
Clarence married June McLane in 1948 and they had three children. Clarence and June settled in Grande Prairie where they still reside.
