Andrew Langhofer was born in Gold Prairie, Saskatchewan on October 31, 1919 and moved with his parents to Kipp, Ab. in 1925. Andy enlisted in 1941 and served overseas in England, Holland, France and Germany with the Canadian Armed Forces until 1946.
Andy moved north to the Bonanza-Baytree area in the Peace Country and in 1956 he met and married Ruth Radke. His second great love was horses and horse pull matches, which became his hobby.
Andy passed away on June 24, 1995 in Grande Prairie, Ab. and is interred at Hillhaven Cemetery in Bonanza, Ab.
