Administrative history / Biographical sketch
The Sexsmith Co-operative Seed Cleaning Association Limited is a public organization founded in 1954 and still operates to this day. The association began for local farmers to be able to access seed cleaning. The meeting held December 1, 1959 mentions that previous meeting minutes had been destroyed in a fire. On the board was L. Sheehan as President, Mike Duda and Stanley Kulicki as Directors, L. Warren as Manager, and R.L. Mansell as Secretary. Other attendees included M. Moe, Uri Powell, and George Sayles.
Custodial history
These records originated from Isabel Campbell’s reference files which were acquired from the Grande Prairie Public Library in 2013. These materials were part of a bequest by Isabel Campbell to the Library. The files were then donated to the archives in 2013.
Scope and content
The fonds consist of minutes of the annual meeting and a financial statement (1959).
