Farrell, Bert

Bert Farrell was born in Ontario.  When he was quite young, he and his family moved to Carstairs AB where he spend most of his early life.  He served in the Army from 1941 to 1945.  In 1946 he met and married Vera Larter, who had joined the Air Force in 1942 for 1 ½ years.  Their daughter Donna Marie was born in 1947.  Three years later Bert and Vera decided to homestead in the Codes AB area.  They acquired E-1/2-S-13, and worked very diligently to make a good living, among many neighboring farmers and friends.  Selling the farm in 1975, the Farrells moved to Abbotsford BC to enjoy a milder climate.
