This weeks item appeared in the Oct. 12, 1925 issue of the newspaper and is not an issue that our current Council has to deal with! Most By-Laws are pretty dull reading but this one explains very precisely how to construct a privy that will meet the requirements of Town Council. A politician said the government has no business in the bedrooms of the nation, but apparently the government had great interest and control over how you go about your ‘business’! In all fairness to the local Council, the article does explain that the By-Law was recommended by the Provincial Health Inspector.
