Sometimes I think some of the items in the paper are written with tongue firmly in cheek! This one, for example. I can think of lots of reasons why people would object to beans hooters, but starving people around the world would not be one of them. I had forgotten all about bean shooters until I read this article. They were kind of fun, as I recall, but also could be dangerous. But the argument against them put forth in this item is one I never dreamed of.
