A note from Kathryn…
In the past year, there have been many hundredth anniversaries; one more for the list is that this week marks the hundredth week of the South Peace Regional Archives “This Week in History” blog series based on articles from the old Grande Prairie newspapers. I really enjoy going through the old papers looking for articles that would be interesting. We’ve had some hits and misses over the last one hundred weeks, but it has always been fun. I hope everyone keeps on reading “This Week in History” so I can keep on doing it!

Grande Prairie was normally a welcoming town, so I found these two items interesting and fairly amusing.
