I noticed the letter to the editor first, then went back and looked up the Hythe News item the letter was referring to. While I do see the principal’s point, there’s also some part of me that thinks, “lighten up!” The incident took place late in June, when school was almost over for the year, and I wonder how much school work was really missed by the students who skipped class. Also kind of fun is how the Hythe reporter managed to write it up without saying what actually happened.
