Found in the newspapers of old – taxes. It appears to have created the same amount of confusion then as it does today.

We will be featuring a look back into the 1914 papers with each “This Week In History” posts in celebration of Grande Prairie’s 100th Anniversary.
In 1914 people were looking at getting telephones installed. I wonder what people would do today if they had to survive a week without their phone?
Looks like it wasn’t a fast process, in 1915 there was an ad for Tender for telephone poles.
