Exhibits, Tours, & Memorial
Blueprints: Building History
Available both in person at the archives and virtually online; Blueprints: Building History showcases architecture in the Peace Country from Grande Prairie’s local architect Roger Field. This exhibit considers the many stages that occur during designing architecture.
Soldiers' Memorial
The South Peace Regional Archives is creating an online memorial to the soldiers from the South Peace area who were involved in defending our country. We have over 1,500 First World War soldiers and over 2,300 Second World War soldiers listed so far, and the memorial is growing.
Cemetery Tours
For many years, the South Peace Regional Archives has run historical walking tours of cemeteries around the South Peace. Learn more about any upcoming tours or view past guides and take a self-guided tour of a local cemetery to learn about the lives of some of the people buried there.
Close Contact Virtual Exhibit
Close Contact is a multimedia experience highlighting the continuing work at the South Peace Regional Archives to preserve and make accessible historical records. The exhibition emphasizes the value of community partnerships and preserving our collective heritage, even while we maintain our social distance.
