The farm located NE8-73-12-W6 was expanded on over the years. It grew to encompass 3,360 acres owned and 1,760 acres rented. The farm operation was diversified by a large cattle operation which was managed by Al’s son Clayton. In 2001 the Greber had a large farm sale, selling their livestock as well as most of the large machinery and the ranching operation became a custom grazing business with local cattlemen bringing in their cattle to graze. In 2011 this switched to the Greber’s renting out their land and then in 2012 Al Greber sold most of his land holdings to Roy and Jarin Carter. The series consists of records from the Greber farm. The records include a farm account book detailing general farm and lambing records (1954-1962), information on the sale of farm equipment and cattle (2001), and an All Peace Auction farm sale catalogue and poster for the Greber farm sale.

Al Greber started to work in the oilfield almost start from school. He began driving truck hauling equipment and eventually ran cats and other equipment. In the late 70’s Al started buying equipment of his own to run. He operated out of his farm in Lymburn. The business slowly expanded and with each rise in oil prices saw an increase in equipment and employees. In the 1980’s Al bought a shop in Hythe that eventually included the abandoned neighboring Saskatoon berry plant building. Al through his company also gave back to the community helping with numerous community projects including working on the Bear Hills Rodeo grounds, the Spring Lake Ski Hill and the new Hythe Legion. By the time of the Big Valley auction sale at All Peace Auctions in Grande Prairie the company had grown quite large with numerous employees.
