John Mc Levin
John was born in 1917 in Grande Prairie and raised in Dimsdale, AB. He went to the Hermit Lake School. He was brother to Malcolm, Bruce and Marion. His father and mother were William Robert and Jessie Katherine McLevin. He joined the army in WWII as a motor mechanic in July, 1940, He was posted to the UK in the fall of 1942 and in 1944 served in France and Holland. After the war he and his two brothers formed a business partnership, Mc Levin Bros. In 2002 John was living in Pender Island, BC.
The records were brought to the Peace River Museum by a worker from the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Peace River, AB. They were transferred to the South Peace Regional Archives in June, 2009.

The fonds consists of an army service book, a driving permit, a letter, a page of handwritten notes, and 2 photographs taken while in WWII service.
