“Since joining the board of the SPRA,” she stated, “I’ve come to realize how important it is to preserve family histories, not only for the family but for the community. We all have photos and other print material that are or were once important to our parents and grandparents. Left to molder in a basement means that sooner or later they are going to deteriorate beyond recognition. My brother-in-law Bill Shields and I decided that giving the family memorabilia to the archives would ensure that the history of Nora and Clarence and their young family would be preserved for our children and their children and their children.”
